KOO JEONG A’s KUB Edition features two photographs of the Alps, taken from an airplane. The effects of light and shadow emerge clearly, lending a graphic quality to the mountain formations. At the same time, the strong contrasts evoke a sense of both distance and proximity. The photographs are from the exhibition LAND OF OUSSS [ GRAVITTA ], which was presented at Kunsthaus Bregenz in 2026. There, the motifs were displayed in the same small format, unframed, directly against the concrete walls. Within the building's architecture, they turn into precious objects–fragile views in which the alpine topography condenses into an almost abstract composition of light, shadow, and rock.
