The work group »Doors« developed by Rachel Whiteread for the Kunsthaus Bregenz comprises the casts of fourteen different real doors from buildings in London. The artist sees the edition as a continuation of her many years of exploration of the subject of space: »The edition that I have made for the Kunsthaus Bregenz is a drawing/collage made in preparation for the series of ›Untitled (In Out I–XIV)‹. It roughly depicts the possible installation for this new sculpture that was especially conceived for the KUB.«
