In the occasion of the exhibition at the Kunsthaus Bregenz designed edition Wael Shawky accesses a central motif of his work. The work of black- and silver-colored tar paper and stainless steel wire goes back on Shawkys tar flags »Cabaret Crusades: The Horror Show File, Flag«, eight of these works are exhibited at the Kunsthaus. The flags remind the crusaders flags and thus to the provinces, which have participated in the crusades.
